Volunteer and Intern Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities

The Alliance always needs volunteer support at our events, including the South Lake Tahoe Climate March, upcoming Earth Days and our bi-annual Conference in Kings Beach, California in August 2018. If you are interested in volunteering at any of these events, please check out their event pages (as they become available) and reach out to Rachael Blum, Administrative Assistant at rachael.blumATsierranevadaalliance.org or 530-542-4546.

Given the small size of our staff, the Alliance could also benefit from a volunteer who would be interested in helping with office management duties in our Truckee office. These duties might include assisting with donor mailers (stuffing and addressing envelopes), making phone calls to donors and potential donors, assisting with filing, and other tasks as they become relevant. If you are interested in helping the Alliance out in this way, please contact Rachael Blum, Administrative Assistant, at rachael.blumATsierranevadaalliance.org or 530-542-4546.

Internship Opportunities

Interns work side-by-side with our dedicated staff to learn about and make a difference on the conservation issues affecting John Muir’s famed ‘Range of Light’, while gaining valuable work experience in the non-profit sector.
