Full Moon Snowshoe Hike

Full Moon Snowshoe Hike – POSTPONED

Friday, February 10, 2017 at 5:45 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

Due to the weather, we have postponed this Full Moon Snowshoe Hike. We hope to host it in April, so please check back!
Join the Sierra Nevada Alliance for a fun and educational evening under the February Full Moon as we hike Hope Valley by snowshoe or cross-country ski. Join us afterward for an optional dinner at Sorensen’s Resort.

Meet at the Yurt at the intersection of highway 89 and highway 88 at 5:45pm. From there we go on a short walk/ski around the meadow. The Alliance will provide a few pairs of binoculars and moon maps, but please bring any tools or maps you’d like! The walk should be easy to moderate with stops along the way to share cultural and science stories about the Moon, including its origins. After the hike, Sorensen’s Resort will host a dinner for the hungry adventurers at 7:30 p.m.

Alliance Member Ticket: $20 Suggested Donation

Non-Member Ticket: $25 Suggested Donation

Become-a-Member Ticket: $60 Suggested Donation (Become an Alliance Member (typically costs $50) and attend the Full Moon Hike, all for $60!)
Please note that dinner at Sorensen’s is not included.
Register here.

Keep in mind, all proceeds from the event go toward environmental conservation in the Sierra.
