Film Festivals in South Lake Tahoe and North Lake Tahoe!
Our Wild and Scenic Film Festivals On Tour combine award winning environmental and adventure films with the energy of local activism. Each year, we choose powerful environmental and adventure films so that you are inspired to take further action regarding issues that impact our environment, ourselves and our world. Our 2017 Film Festivals benefit the Sierra Nevada Alliance & the Sierra Nevada AmeriCorps Partnership. Our North Lake Tahoe Film Festival also benefits Sierra Watch and their program to Keep Squaw True. More details on the events here.

Sierra Nevada Alliance’s 22nd Conference – 2016
August 25-27th, 2016 | Miners Foundry, Nevada City, CA
The 2016 Conference aimed to activate the Alliance we have built over the last 22 years by engaging and exciting our Member Groups and individual activists around environmental issues affecting the Sierra. We worked together to choose issue-based campaigns to pursue over the next 1-3 years. The process included identifying Issue Leaders – Member Groups and individuals – to lead each issue area with support from the Alliance network. The Alliance acted as a hub to coordinate and provide accountability, connections, and resources. The weekend was full of networking opportunities, educational and inspirational speakers, good food, and a beautiful venue. The Conference is always open to all, so join us next time! More information, photos, and reviews can be found here.
