Exclusive Sierra Keeper Event

September 9, 2017, Lake Tahoe

SK Save the Date

The Sierra Nevada Alliance invites you to join us for our Exclusive Sierra Keepers Event on September 9th at Lake Tahoe. Join the Alliance’s Executive Director on a cruise aboard 1950 wooden boat, the Tahoe, to a tour of the historic Thunderbird Lodge on Lake Tahoe’s east shore. This unique opportunity will allow attendees to learn more about the current and future work of the Sierra Nevada Alliance while also hearing captivating stories of Tahoe’s past.

Thunderbird

Historic Thunderbird Lodge

While aboard the boat heading to the Thunderbird Lodge, the captain and crew will share the history of Lake Tahoe while serving a light continental breakfast of pastries, coffee, mimosas, and bloody mary’s. Upon arrival at the Thunderbird Lodge we will begin a walking tour. After touring the house, a 600′ long tunnel will guide us to the boathouse that holds, arguably, the world’s most valuable wood boat, the Thunderbird yacht. After the tour, we will enjoy a picnic style lunch on the grounds of the property followed by a return cruise back to Zephyr Cove.

Tickets are $200 per person. Event attendance is limited, so get your tickets today! Invites are only extended to those who are Sierra Keepers with the Alliance. Don’t worry, if you’re not yet a Sierra Keeper, you can become one and join us for this event! Visit our Sierra Keeper webpage to learn more.

Proceeds benefit the Sierra Nevada Alliance and our work to protect and restore the Sierra.
